Dear members of the
Penang Teachers’ Cooperative Society,
A year has passed us by ... 2020 had been a most trying and difficult
year for most of us! And we are all
well aware of the havoc that Covid-19 has wrought upon us here on the
Pearl of the Orient and beyond. The pandemic had adverse effects
on our economy and inadvertently affected our profits for the year.
Ringing in the new year is a cause for celebration, for spending time
with family and friends and as we raise our glasses to usher in the new
year of 2021 amidst fireworks that explode into the dark skies, we must
realise the symbolism that a new year brings - a new beginning, a fresh
start as well as a time to reflect on past resolutions and ponder on
making new year resolutions with a difference!
We are indeed grateful that despite the difficult times we have all had
to experience since the month of March 2020, our members have stayed
loyal and steadfast in the belief that these adversities will come to
an end eventually. Thank you for your continued support in patronizing
our Cooperative BHP Service Station.
We sincerely hope that
more
members will drop by the station for your fuel needs!
We are having an ongoing recruitment of new members’ drive and look
forward to getting more new members to join the PTCS. Existing members
are most welcome to encourage more teachers to come and join the
Cooperative to reap the benefits of becoming a PTCS member. In
addition, there is a variety of loans
for members - therefore, do take
advantage of this facility as a member.
The Penang Teachers’ Cooperative Society wishes all of you a Very Happy
New Year with the hope that you will have many blessings in the year
ahead. Let the year 2020 be laid to rest and the new year to begin with
the warmest of aspirations as the end of 2020 marks a new beginning for
all mankind.
This new year, may we all change our attitudes for the better, bring
about a change in our focus as well as live up to the promises we have
made and create for ourselves and our loved ones the happiest new year
ever! May the new year be filled with success, happiness and prosperity
for all of us. As the new year dawns, let hope spring eternal of a
brighter tomorrow.
